Zacharenia Androulaki
Professor Zacharenia Androulaki holds a PhD in Community Nursing and she is the Head of the Department of Nursing of the Technological Educational Institute of Crete. She has acted as the director of the School of Health & Welfare, the Chair of the Council of the Department of Nursing and a member of the Quality Assurance Board of the Department of Nursing of the Technological Institute of Crete.
Her research expertise is in community nursing, health education and health promotion. She is the author of more than 15 papers in peer-reviewed academic journals and has numerous presentations in international and national scientific conferences. She is currently the Principal Investigator for the research project “Attitudes and perceptions of health professions in health care units of Crete against the abuse of women” and since 2004 she has been a member of the core research team for five “Archimedes ΙΙ” projects titled as “Study of the prevalence of asthma and its relationship to mental disorders in young people of Thessaly and its outcome in a subpopulation”, “Fatigue syndrome career-BURNOUT in health professionals”, “Violence against women and social support structures in Crete”, “Lifestyle, risk driving behaviour and traffic incidents” and the European funded project “Active ageing & pre-retirement counselling”.
